It has once again been a very busy month.
The field surveys have now reached full speed, and with the arrival of birds, wildflowers, and butterflies, we are also seeing more visitors in the area. Many people are becoming interested in the cultural landscape and our activities, whether as tourists, researchers, or filmmakers. Among them was the team of Jan and Melanie Haft, who visited the region for a nature film project.
A highlight of May, as every year, was the Birdrace, as well as the Night of Museums in Apold, to which we contributed an exhibition. The Birdrace continues to grow in popularity, with the number of participating teams increasing every year. This year, a new record was set, with 148 bird species observed within 24 hours.
