Last week we had a group of Romanian and German students who came here to learn about the wonderful world of moths from expert and friend László Rákosy. We also introduced them to our work and joined them for a walk to our local shepherd’s hut, where they learned about tree pastures, traditional shepherding and enjoyed local delicacies while waiting for the moths to find the light traps set up in the nearby forest. The next morning we met up again to identify everything we caught. It was a very interesting two days, where we and the visiting students learned a lot!
