Seeing children get excited about nature is always a joy! As part of our active citizenship project, we receive support to organise workshops with school children in the Hârtibaciu Valley. With the children from Vurpar we visited the old orchards, with those from Alțâna we walked through the mosaic landscapes, and in Hosman around the clay pits and meadows! After the walks, we discussed together in class about the changes in our region… about fencing, monocultures, deforestation and why an open landscape is important.
We thank the children and teachers for their enthusiasm and confidence, and for the beautiful results which we hope to show to a wider audience at our exhibition at the end of the project. We look forward to working with more schools in the coming weeks!
