In a previous post, we asked you to report any environmental violations in the Hârtibaciu Valley. Here’s an example of how complaining to the authorities can help stop these violations, that can lead to the destruction of what we have if we say nothing. In Glamboaca, vast areas of common, rented land have been devastated by the complete removal of topsoil and vegetation. In the process, they uprooted and pushed over old oak trees, demonstrating a distinct lack of knowledge and understanding of the importance of this land. This is a disaster for this oak pasture, much of its plant diversity and the health of the soil.
They should have known better, and now the authorities have taken action against this illegal practice.
