Agnita, 29 August 2022 – The Association GAL Microregion Hârtibaciu announces the start of the project “Civic activism and advocacy in the Hartibaciu Valley. Preserving the open landscape”, with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund Romania, a programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021. The project implementation started on 15 August 2022 and has a duration of 18 months. The project is designed on the basis of the partnership between the Association GAL Microregion Hârtibaciu and the Association Hosman Durabil. The total value of the project is 145.364,50 Euro. The project team met for the first time on 23 August to establish the working arrangements.
With the direct support of the specialists Elena Curcean and Valentin Păun, who will also coordinate the implementation of the project, GAL Hârtibaciu Microregion has succeeded in accessing the non-reimbursable funds necessary for the implementation of the project “Civic activism and advocacy in Hartibaciu Valley. Preserving the open landscape”.
The project proposes the establishment of an Open Landscape Forum of the Hartibaciu Valley with the aim of civic activation of young people, especially young farmers. The logo of the forum was donated to the initiators of the project by the Siberian artist Dan Perjovschi, known for his support of civic activism.
